After studying philosophy, art history and communication design, Karsten Thormaehlen learnt his trade as a photographer in the international fashion and advertising business. His work has been presented in exhibitions all over the world since the 1980s, has received numerous awards and has been published in several books.

The concrete wall featured on all of the print products is in fact part of the building that houses the studio. The texture is also used in the corresponding portfolio website and the blog, helping to create a coherent, recognizable appearance through all forms of media.
